Covenant Chapel Ministries is all about ministering in His name. For over a decade, we have demonstrated His love through us by way of outreach and opportunities to experience His love and presence. Come join us!
We believe that EVERYONE DESERVES MINISTRY. We are called to "Honor all people" according to 1 Peter 2:17a. Everyone should know that God so loves them that He sent His only Son, Jesus the Christ. Christ died in our place for our sins, was resurrected, and is coming again. He is our Risen Savior and Lord! The life we have with Christ is amazing and can be compared to no other relationship in the universe.
We are an International Pentacostal Holiness Church.
"Pentecostal Holiness people are committed to Jesus Christ and His kingdom. To this end, we believe in the verbal and plenary inspiration of the Holy Scriptures (2 Timothy 3:16, 17). The Bible is God's infallible Word, the believer's guide, and the final authority for both faith and conduct (2 Timothy 3:16, 17). People who teach in our institutions and who are credentialed clergy shall subscribe to this same position.
"We believe the top priority of Christians is to "make it our aim to be well pleasing to God" (2 Corinthians 5:9). Every facet of our lives must come under divine authority as we relate everything to this priority, maintaining it without interruption. We recognize that in order to maximize our Christian witness, our private lives must be consistent with out public testimonies. Hence, our primary goal must be to please God and be acceptable to Him."

Our By-Laws and Theology
PURPOSE: Everyone deserves ministry! 1 Peter 2:17a VISION: Committment, Covenant, Nuture STRATEGY: Evangelizing, Inviting, Prospering CHARACTERISTICS: Evangelical, Charismatic, Worshipful
THEOLOGY:
Committment/Evangelizing/Being Evangelical
We REPENT (turn away) from our sins and from darkness by confessing our sins before the Lord. (See Matthew 4:4 and 1 John 1:9). We BELIEVE that Jesus the Christ is the Son of God who died on the Cross to save us from our sins. He was crucified, died and was buried. On the third day, He rose from the dead, and He is the King of Kings , the Savior and He is Lord! We RECEIVE Him into our hearts/spirits and lives, professing Him as Savior and Lord of our own life. We want to walk in wholeness, holiness and walk closely with Him, obeying Him, walking and living as the Holy Spirit leads. Paradise, which mankind lost due to sin, is restored within. The Lord works from the regenerated heart/spirit on out, cleansing, healing, and making us whole and holy. (see Romans 10:8-11; Isaiah 53:4-6; Genesis 1-3; Leviticus 11:44; 1 Peter 1:15-16; John 1:11-13; Galations 5:24-25; and John 4 & 10.)
Covenant/Inviting/Charismatic
We are Trinitarians-- the Lord God is One, but there are three persons in the One. (See Old and New Testaments.)
We believe in the four baptisms: baptism of repentance (Old Testament/John the Baptist) baptism for salvation (See the New Testament) baptism in the Holy Spirit (Acts) baptism of suffering chiefly experienced by Jesus and granted to the Sons of Thunder (Mark) Covenant Chapel accepts all baptisms unto salvation--sprinkling, pouring, and immersing--as long as the person has believed in his/her own heart and confessed with his/her own mouth that Jesus Christ is Lord. (Romans 10:8-13)
Covenant means agreement in Greek and league in Hebrew. Covenant Chapel is calling believers to see deeply that they are in covenant (agreement) with God; a covenant (agreement) with a spouse (opposite gender only) if one is married; a covenant (agreement) with Covenant Chapel if one is a member--whether associate or full--and in a covenant (league) with the Body of Christ just by being/becoming a Christian. We invite people to Christ, to Christian marriage, to church membership and to outreach and fellowship with the Bride of Christ. We want everyone to be invited just as Christ was invited to the marriage feast at the wedding at Cana (John 2:2), and all the more so to the Lamb's Marriage Supper described in Revelation 19:9. May we all be kept blameless at the coming (returning) of our Lord Jesus Christ! (See 1 Thessalonians 5:23c.)
Covenant Chapel is charismatic (1 Corinthians 12-14) and we appreciate how the Lord blesses us with tongues and interpretation, words of knowledge and wisdom, discernment and other gifts of the Holy Spirit. We dance before Him and play instruments. Everything must be done decebtly and in order so that the angels will attend. We must be in agreement with the Holy Bible. No word would come that is not in line with the Word of God. God is not the author of confusion. He confirms over and over, is accessible, and thorough. There is a time for joy and time to be quiet. Being baptized in the Holy Spirit is not necessary to salvation, but the baptism immerses the believer in the Holy Spirit. The more the believer surrenders/submits to the Lord, the more the believer is empowered, made whole, holy, joyful, peaceful, and made noble in His love. The annointing on the pastor, leaders, believers, the services, property, etc. shows that the Lord is pleased and jealously watches over His own, revealing Himself to them.
Nuture/Prospering/Worshipping
Just as we must nurture our physical body so we must nuture our inner person--spirit and soul--with the written revelation--the Bible. The word even affects our bones and it is God-breathed. We must not think, speak, act, or believe against the Word of God. We have Biblical sermons, Bible Studies, Devotions, and Bible-based Sunday School and Retreats. According to the Word, prosperity is for the body, soul, spirit, mind, and the financial picture. We nuture ourselves, prosper, and worship to please Him. We want to "do those things that are pleasing in His sight" 1 John 3:22c. (See Proverbs 3; 1 Timothy and 2 Timothy.) |
